After laser cutting or stamping, we heat treat to full hardness, at temperatures over
1000 degrees. This material is so tough that it can handle the cycling
that you give it over and over and over when you brake. Ever seen someone
with a rotor burn? They get really, really hot. After heat treating, the rotor goes
to double disc grinding. This process is not easy, especially with a hardened
piece of metal. But it has to be done, or your brakes will pulsate.
